With the holidays approaching fast, I just wanted to let you know about some of the fabulous Playschemes, Holiday Camps, Adventure Playgrounds open and activities taking place locally and across Hackney.

The ‘Learning Trust’ and ‘the Hackney Council, What’s On’ website is also a great place to find family information about childcare, days out and Hackney events and information around help with childcare fees.  If you have older children and/or teenagers do check out the brilliant ‘Young Hackney’ website, created by young people for young people.  More information is available from the Family Information Service at The learning Trust on 0208 820 7590, you are welcome to drop in – 1 Reading Lane, London E8 (adjacent to the Hackney Empire, Mare Street), they will be happy to help.

There really are lots of FREE and cheap activities for your child or children to do in the holidays.  Remember there’s free swimming for children at Hackney pools (not the Lido).  Also parks, libraries and museums all have free activities during the holidays.
