Child Protection Policy
We are committed to creating and maintaining a safe and secure environment for pupils, staff, volunteers and visitors and to promoting a climate where children and adults will feel confident about sharing any concerns which they may have about their own safety or the well–being of others. Our policy draws on all relevant publications including, ‘ Every Child Matters’, the four guiding principles of the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child (UNCRC), ‘Safeguarding Children : Safer Recruitment and Selection in Education Settings’ and ‘Safeguarding Children in Education: Dealing with Accusations of Abuse Against Teachers and Other Staff’. Other policies which should be read alongside this policy are, the school’s Health and Safety Policy, Anti-Bullying Policy, Behaviour Policy, Racist incidents Policy, Restraint Policy, Educational Visits Policy, Recruitment Policy, Toileting Policy, Whistle-Blowing Policy and Confidentiality Policy.
